Target staff is noticing some interesting listings popping up on their inventory system, seemingly tipping the hat on soon-to-be-declared Apple hardware.
In addition to the ‘AirPods X generation’, 9to5Mac received images exhibiting that there are dummy entries for ‘Apple TV Gen X’ and ‘Apple Watch Series X’ bands. There is also a listing for ‘Apple iPod Touch X Generation’.
There are three listings for the Apple Watch bands and four duplicate entries for the supposed new Apple TV. The bands are presently priced at $49, and the Apple TV is posted as $179, the same value as the current 32 GB Apple TV 4K.
The iPod touch is tagged as $399, the same retail price as the current highest-end capability iPod touch 256 GB model.
The ‘X’ is a placeholder brand until Apple unveils the final brand details for the objects. Typically, retailers are making their greatest guess about incoming stock, as any wrong information in the system can be altered at a later date.
It’s interesting that these have been added in the first place; however, it seems rash to draw much detail from these decisions other than ‘new stuff is coming soon’.
New Apple headphones and a brand new Apple TV have definitely been rumored before. A report recently appeared that the brand new Apple TV would sport some variant on the A12 or A13 chip, a significant improvement over the current model’s A10X processor.
It’s also very common for Apple to refresh its range of watch bands in the spring.
