There have been some bugs and problems with Microsoft’s Windows 10 May Update/1903 characteristic update since Microsoft kicked off its rollout in late May. However, the 1903 grievance I’ve gotten most often (to date) is from customers who need to set up the update however cannot and do not know why.
Microsoft has added a brand new notification which some users whose gadgets aren’t prepared or capable of installing the update are seeing when they try to grab the1903 launch proactively. As initially noted last week by Windows Newest, Microsoft has included a new message to its Windows Update page. Customers making an attempt to install 1903 on machines with out-of-date drivers or other problems are seeing this message:
“The Windows 10 May 2019 Update is approaching soon. We’re providing this update to suitable units; however your system is not ready for it. As soon as your system is prepared, you will see the update accessible on this web page. There’s nothing you need to do now.”
“I confirmed with Microsoft that this notification is a part of its 1903 rollout strategy.
The notification started with the newest changes made to enhance the quality/transparency of the Windows update procedure,” said a Microsoft spokesperson.
Microsoft executives stated in a blog post on May 21 that the corporate planned to start mechanically updating devices running the April 2018 Update and earlier versions of Windows 10 to Windows 10 1903. Last week, through the Windows Update account on Twitter, Microsoft officers communicated that they have been building and training machine-learning rollout processes that would allow this to happen.
